Adult 101 Cake Decorating Class

Saturday August 21st, 2010
10am-12pm - $80.00 per person

Learn to crumb coat and final a 2-layer celebration cake, making a shell border with a written message. We supply the cakes and all materials needed. You will take home your creations.

Bethesda's Best Cupcake Class

Saturday August 28th, 2010
3pm-5pm - $90.00 per person

Would you like to learn how to make cupcakes that not only taste good but look amazing as well? In this creative cupcakes class you will learn how to bake, fill, and decorate cupcakes. Some of the decorating techniques taught will include the classic buttercream, fondant décor, funny animals, and floral décor. Learn how to make beautiful cupcakes for any occasion!

Adult 102 Cake Decorating Class

Saturday September 11th, 2010
10am-12pm - $100.00 per person

Welcome to the next step in creating the most beautiful cakes. In beginner fondant we will briefly overview everything you were taught in cake 101. Each person will learn how to prepare a double layer cake and cover in fondant. Other skills will be preventing your fondant from drying out, how to properly roll it out, and how to dye the fondant to desired colors. We will also teach you how to make various decorations such as rope borders, circles and dots, and a single loop bow. Once all our cakes are properly covered and trimmed our imaginations will be put to the test! We will each decorate our cakes with icing and fondant designs. No need to worry if you make a mistake our instructions will show you the secrets for covering up simple mistakes.
